News of Musa’s scholarship to pursue higher education in the United States was shared by Omasoro Ovie, a Nigerian individual who initially brought Musa’s remarkable story to light. This scholarship not only encompasses Musa’s academic journey in the U.S. but also extends employment offers to Musa’s father. In addition, the sponsors have committed to kickstarting Musa’s mother’s business with a financial grant of N1 million and providing support for his siblings’ educational endeavors.
In Ovie’s announcement, he conveyed:
“Roche Global Resources will employ Musa Sani’s father also and give the mother N1m to start a business while getting the family a new apartment. The boy’s siblings will all be put through school by the firm, and Musa will be given a university scholarship to the USA.”
Acknowledging Musa’s outstanding achievement, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State granted him an additional N5 million scholarship to sponsor his secondary school education. The Governor disclosed that the scholarship funds, already directed to a private school in Borno, were presented to Musa by the State’s Education Trust Fund (ETF) Chairman.
