Once again, another case of violence is present in the NFL. On this occasion, Jacksonville wide receiver Isaiah Avery “Zay” Jones was arrested for domestic violence on the afternoon of Monday, November 13 after attacking his partner in Florida.

Jones was arrested after the complaint was filed against him, however, he was released this Tuesday afternoon, the 14th, after paying bail of $2,503 dollars . According to the Jones couple’s version, everything happened during an argument between the two.

During the afternoon of Monday, November 13, Florida authorities received an emergency call about an argument between a couple. Upon arriving at the home, they arrested 28-year-old Isaiah Avery Jones, better known as Zay Jones, for allegedly assaulting His couple.

According to police reports, the argument began because the woman informed Zay that she was taking her son back to Orlando , which provoked the athlete’s fury against his partner. After medical examinations, it was determined that the alleged victim had injuries to his neck in the form of scratches.

Isaiah Avery Jones was arrested at his home on charges of physical violence and domestic abuse, however, he was only behind bars for one night, as he was released after paying bail of $2,503 dollars and will be released from custody.

After the news of the attack was announced, the Jacksonville Jaguars decided to stay out of the situation until they had more details from the police about the accusations against their player.

So far this season in the NFL, Zay Jones has barely made three appearances with the Jaguars, as he was just recovering from a knee injury.

Zay Jones could be sanctioned by the NFL with a six-game suspension as the league seeks to eradicate this type of violence, in fact commissioner Roger Goodell; “Domestic violence and sexual assault are unacceptable. They are crimes. They are never acceptable and are not tolerated in the NFL under any circumstances.”
