Michael Irvin Mourns the Loss of Legendary Cowboys Star, Shares His Heartfelt Tribute

On Monday, the NFL community learned that Dallas Cowboys legend Larry Allen passed away at the age of 52. One of his former teammates, Michael Irvin, shared a brief statement on this tragic news.

Irvin kept his thoughts short for now, writing “RIP my HOF brother” on the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Allen and Irvin were teammates in Dallas from 1994-1999. It’s understandable that he’s heartbroken over the loss of his ex-teammate.

Legendary Dallas Cowboys Star Dies On Vacation At 52

Allen, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013, is widely considered one of the most dominant players in NFL history.

The Cowboys inducted Allen into their Ring of Honor in 2011. As you’d expect, they released a lengthy statement regarding his heartbreaking death and his legacy.

“Larry, known for his great athleticism and incredible strength, was one of the most respected, accomplished offensive linemen to ever play in the NFL,” the Cowboys said in a statement. “His versatility and dependability were also signature parts of his career. Through that, he continued to serve as inspiration for many other players, defining what it meant to be a great teammate, competitor and winner.”

According to reports, Allen was on vacation with his friends and family members in Mexico when he passed away.
