O.J. Simpson’s Ashes Transformed into Sentimental Jewelry for His Children

O.J. Simpson‘s memory lives on in a unique way, as his ashes have been turned into jewelry for his family.

Malcolm LaVergne, Simpson’s longtime attorney and the executor of his estate, revealed that after Simpson’s cremation in April, his ashes were incorporated into personalized pieces of jewelry for his four adult children.

Simpson‘s children-Arnelle, Jason, Sydney, and Justin-agreed to this unusual tribute, and LaVergne, as executor, provided the necessary authorization.

While the exact type of jewelry hasn’t been disclosed, such pieces often include necklaces or bracelets with small urns or compartments for holding ashes.

LaVergne himself chose not to receive any of the jewelry, stating it wasn’t something he was interested in, leaving the keepsakes solely for Simpson‘s children.

The entire process, including cremation, the creation of the jewelry, and the procurement of death certificates, totaled $4,243.06.

In the meantime, LaVergne is tasked with liquidating Simpson’s remaining assets to address his substantial debts, including the millions still owed to the Goldman family.

Simpson‘s final will was officially filed in Clark County, Nevada, on April 12, just two days after his passing at the age of 76. The will, which was signed by Simpson on January 24, designates LaVergne with Simpson‘s son, Justin Simpson, named as the successor executor.

In the will, Simpson requested that all of his property be transferred into The Orenthal Simpson Revocable Living Trust.

He also outlined his final wishes for his remains, which were attached to the legal document.

The will includes a strict no-contest clause, stating that if any beneficiary, heir, or other person attempts to challenge or invalidate the will, they would receive only $1 in lieu of any potential inheritance.

LaVergne, who has represented Simpson since 2009, has expressed his intention to prevent the Goldman family from receiving any funds from Simpson’s estate.
