Baltimore Ravens player Marlon Humphrey suggested Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast has only been successful because the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is dating Taylor Swift.
“I pray for this — to go against him because, like, he’s tried to take everything from me,” Humphrey, 28, told co-host Jack Settleman in Sunday’s episode of his own podcast, “Punch Line,” while referring to his upcoming NFL game against Kelce.
The cornerback also weighed in on Kelce, 34, and his brother, Jason Kelce, signing a $100 million, three-year deal with Amazon’s Wondery — which will have exclusive ad-sales and distribution rights for their popular sports commentary show — last month.
“He tried to take it all from me. He has got to pay,” Humphrey quipped. “He has got to pay for what he’s done to the podcast space, how he has tried to eliminate us.”
Humphrey then insinuated that Travis only snagged the deal with Amazon because of his relationship with the pop star.
“Honestly, it is not right. I don’t care who he is dating,” he bluntly said
Humphrey said his game against Travis at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on Thursday will be “pod vs. pod.”
“We will see what heights is higher,” he added.
Settleman joked Amazon would give their podcast the same pricey deal if the Ravens beat the Chiefs
“Honestly, what do we do if we lose?” Humphrey wondered, to which the internet personality told him to “just carry on.”
Humphrey razzed Travis as someone who “talks a lot of trash” but acknowledged he is “actually a cool dude.”
